Nawales

We launched our 11th collection to the local and international market.  This collection “Nawales” is a variety of men accessories inspired in the Mayan worldview.  We use the information of their sacred calendar, where every day is represented by an element of nature, energy or spirit.  Their calendar has twenty days and thirteen months.  Using your birth date you can determine which nawal represent you and your behavior.

Based on the color trends for this season the color palettes that we used are blues, pinks and the color of the year; green.  Mixing these trends with the meaning of each nawal is what we used to create the different patterns for our collection.

For this year we planned to create a wider collection that will be composed by our two different seasons and collections, making this the first half of it.  This collection has 10 designs representing half of the “Nawales” since our next collection will represent the other 10 nawales.

• I’q: Nawal of the wind, the moon and sacred stones.
• Q’anil: Nawal of fertility and crops.
• Tz’i’: Nawal of sexuality and the sun stone.
• B’atz: Nawal of arts and creativity.
• I’x: Nawal of nature and Mayan altars.
• Tz’ikin: Nawal of birds, liberty and money.
• Ajmaq: Nawal of faults, forgiveness and sin.
• No’j: Nawal of wisdom.
• Tijax: Nawal of medicine.
• Kawoq: Nawal of psychological and spiritual wee-being.

Creating this collection was an amazing process of many changes and improvements and we really hope that you guys enjoy it.
